Today I mailed off Secrets of the Mine to the Tybee Island Book Festival, to be considered for inclusion in their festival next September. I love events like this, where authors and the community come together to celebrate literacy and all the great books out there (the fact that I've always wanted to visit Tybee Island and Savannah is an added bonus here--I've been in love with Savannah ever since I read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, and my used copy from Paperback Swap had a news clipping about one of the actual characters in the book, Lady Chablis...who isn't actually a lady). Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me!

Finally here, the cover for the Say Something Anthology inspired by A Great Big World's song "Say Something." Seven short stories by seven talented authors: Angelica French, April London, Deena Remiel, Kris Tualla, Morgan Kearns, V. S. Nelson, and my dear friend Camelia Miron Skiba.
Coming 12.01.2014. Isn't it beautiful?
